Greetings, all! This is Rahul, buyer for Jewelry Television, with more news from Jaipur India.
Today was a great and productive day here in Jaipur! We worked with some master cutters to develop some new and exciting gemstone cut designs that will really make the inner beauty of the gemstones come to life!
We had the opportunity to work on new jewelry designs also--matching beautifully faceted gemstones in exciting jewelry designs. The skilled craftsmen and women of Jaipur can take any design in a gem and translate it into beautiful jewelry.
Take a look at these colorful bracelets commonly worn here in India and abroad. Artisans mix genuine gemstones, crystals, beads and mirrors with various metals and fabrics to create these popular looks.
I have included a few more pictures of the local scenery that I thought you would enjoy. The first shot is a building known as Albert Hall. For as long as I can remember there have been birds gathering there looking for food.
The next photo is of "Jal Mahal", also known as "the Water Palace". It dates back to the year 1799 and is a palace literally sitting in the middle of a lake. It was used as a vacation palace, where fishing and hunting were the main goals.

I hope you've enjoyed viewing some photos of Jaipur. It's a most beautiful city, full of history and culture and a bustling gem trade! Until next time....
