Are you pretty in pink? This year, we all are! The directional color of the year is a striking shade of vibrant pink. I’ve taken inspiration from that color and softened it here using gorgeous rhodochrosite beads interspersed with faceted blush pink rose quartz chubby teardrop beads, both from Jewel School by JTV's Jewelry Making catalog of products. Tonal designs can be truly stunning as long as you think about the saturation of color and the undertones of each bead. Not every shade of pink will work together, but these are all similar in their intensity and the resulting design is soft and flattering.
Explore different tones together and see which ones ‘feel’ right. I find my best color combinations to be intuitive. I love movement in my work, as you may have already ascertained, here the beaded dangles provide that. This design is really fun to wear and bold enough to feel high fashion, but the softer color palette keeps it from being too over the top. Find everything you need to make the design above on JTV.com's Jewel School Jewelry Making section.
Cheers,
Madge
