Born in Los Angeles CA to a Canadian mother and a Romanian father, Stephanie had a childhood filled with international travel and influences from exotic locations.
Stephanie Wells began making jewelry out of her garage 10 years ago. She had just returned from living in the Middle East and traveling India and Ethiopia and felt inspired to make herself jewelry that represented the energies she saw and felt on her trips. Immediately people began buying the jewelry right off her body, and what began as a fun hobby out of her garage, has turned into a well organized corporation participating in 14 markets a year (NY, LA, Dallas, Las Vegas ) and creating 4 collections a year of up to 250 pieces each season.
From the beginning of her career, Stephanie was quickly established and remains one of fashion accessories most prolific and technically creative leaders.
In 2008 an editor from Random House’s Potter Craft division contacted Stephanie about writing a DIY book on earrings. In 2010 The Earring Style Book was released and instantly became one of the top DIY jewelry book for Spring/Summer 2010 and Holiday 2010.
